LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced today that Trevor Hardy has become the organizations new Strength and Conditioning Coach on a two-year agreement.
Hardy spent eight years with the Hurricanes in the same capacity from 1996 to 2004 helping the Hurricanes to the Memorial Cup during the 1996-1997 season. Hardy has worked with many great former ‘Canes including Rob Klinkhammer and Dale Purinton among others. He is a member of the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame.
Hurricanes General Manager, Peter Anholt says he’s excited to have Hardy back on board, “Trevor has come highly recommended through many people in, not only the Lethbridge community, but also the hockey community. He has a proven track record of working with many teams and individuals.”
“Off-ice conditioning continues to come to the forefront. This will be a process; a marathon, not a sprint. It will entail both out of season conditioning and in season. Both are very important to the success of any team,” continued Anholt. “We are always trying to improve our program. Trevor has worked with our hockey club in past years and we are very excited about welcoming him back.”

Hardy, who is the owner/operator of Hard Training, says he’s looking forward to the opportunity, “I’m very happy to meet and to begin working with the players and to help create the healthiest, most development sports culture in junior hockey.”
“We want to create the highest level of success and that means using time as affectively as possible. We want [the players] to have every possible resource to improve as much as possible [from] strength training, nutrition and psychology,” added Hardy
Hardy has already begun working with Hurricane players.
