Late-night legends: Letterman becomes Foo Fighters’ biggest fan

One of the Foo Fighter’s biggest fans is David Letterman.

After Letterman had open-heart surgery, he openly admitted the song ‘Everlong’ played a positive part in his recovery. As such, Dave asked the band to perform the song on his first show back from the hospital.

Foo Fighters cancelled an entire tour to accommodate the late-night legend.

So, when Letterman was tasked with picking the final band to close out his last show — and career – in May, there could one be one band.
