LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club have released forward Brett Kitt ahead of the team’s exhibition opener tonight against the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The 19-year-old Kitt was originally acquired from the Brandon Wheat Kings along with Ryley Lindgren and Kord Pankewicz in September of 2014. He appeared in 24 regular season games with the Hurricanes during the 2014-2015 Western Hockey League season collecting two assists before he was reassigned prior to the WHL trade deadline.

Kitt will be reassigned to the Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

With the move, the Hurricanes begin the ENMAX Pre-Season with a total of 32 players including three goaltenders, 11 defense and 18 forwards.

The Hurricanes begin the Pre-Season tonight at the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm against the Tigers. Tickets are available through the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association or at the door for $10.00.
