LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Wednesday that they have acquired a seventh
round pick in the 2017 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft in exchange for defenseman Brandon Kennedy.
In two seasons with the Hurricanes, Kennedy appeared in 40 games collecting four points (1g-3a) and 12 penalty
minutes. The 18-year-old from Delta, BC, appeared in 18 games this season with the Hurricanes adding two assists with
eight penalty minutes.


Kennedy was originally drafted in the sixth round, 113th overall in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft by the Hurricanes.
The move for the Hurricanes trims their overall roster to 22 including: two goaltenders, seven defenseman and 14
forwards.
The Hurricanes play a pair of home games this weekend as they welcome the Prince George Cougars on Friday before
the Saskatoon Blades on Saturday.
