Yes, Calgary didn’t really know how to lose this season, but that’s why we play the games. What a game it was, 39-33 overtime final for the champion Ottawa Redblacks. Pretty solid being back in the league just 3 years, with 2 Grey Cup appearances and now a win.

Former Stampeders QB Burris won the games MVP with nearly 500 passing yards. Congrats Ottawa!

As for the famous Mayor’s bet Nenshi will have to wear a Redblacks jerseys and read a poem and will donate the difference in pts (6) times 10 so $60 to the foodbank in Ottawa. Calgary will also send salted caramel donuts to Ottawa (is Calgary known for caramel donuts?) So an upset win for the Redblacks, but at least Calgary doesn’t have the name Redblacks
