POKERTHUMB

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced today that 19-year-old forward Ben Duperreault has been released.
“We really appreciate what Ben brought forth, however, with the progression of our young players it simply came down to a numbers game,” said Hurricanes General Manager, Peter Anholt. “We would like to wish Ben the best moving forward.”
Duperreault appeared in one regular season game with the Hurricanes along with five pre-season games where he collected one goal and one assist. The move trims the Hurricanes overall roster to 24 players, including two goaltenders, eight defenseman and 14 forwards.

The Hurricanes travel to Cranbrook Saturday to face the Kootenay Ice before returning home to host the Kelowna Rockets on Sunday at 6:00pm in the first of a four game home stand.
